Crystal joined the professional conference organizing industry in 1992 and boasts an uninterrupted professional career in this industry for the last 17 years.

The only way to really understand how to organize events is to start from the bottom which is exactly how Crystal started from preparing badges, answering the phone, to PA to the MD, to Conference Co-ordinator, Senior Co-Ordinator, Operations manager and finally General Manager. Experience most certainly does deliver results.

Crystal has served on the South African Association for the conference industry as Treasurer, belonged as a Patron Member of SAACI, a member of ICCA as well as an active member of Cape Town Tourism.

Amongst her success stories, Crystal was project manager for many large international conferences the likes of The International Convention and Congress Association (ICCA), International Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, International Association of Ports and Harbours, International Radiology Congress and many more, click here for full list of credentials and projects Crystal has been involved in.

Crystal brings a wealth of knowledge of systems and procedures, project management, HR, secretarial administration, client liaison, financial management, PR and marketing to Centeq Events.

Juanita's career in the PCO industry started in 1998, as a bookkeeper, implementing new systems in the accounting department to ensure smooth and professional budgeting processes and financial reporting for each conference.

In 2001, Juanita headed up a Booking office Department (Registration, accommodation, social events, airport transfers etc). Implementing registration procedures, setting up of databases and online registration processes. In 2004, Juanita became actively involved in Abstract Management System and trained staff to handle this critically important aspect of association conferencing. At a recent conference the system processed 650 online abstract submissions, submitting to the online review process and managing of the abstracts for the Chairpersons evaluation, and sorting the information ready for the printing of an abstract book and CD.

All reporting, data integrity, reconciliations, payments and correspondence to delegates, hotels, suppliers is processed through the department managed by Juanita.

 

Tarryn Adams ( tarryn@centeqevents.co.za )


Tarryn’s experience in customer care and database management ranges from assisting clients with international visa applications, medical membership management, car rentals and general office administration. She recently joined Centeq Events dynamic team of experts as Delegate liaison and heads up the Registration department using her CRM and Office administration skills to ensure delegates and clients are truly taken care of. Tarryn strives for perfection and enjoys challenges and even puts time aside to pursue her Marketing diploma at CPUT. Clients and Customers are her no 1 priority!.

Zimkihta Bavuma (zimkitha@allevents.co.za)

Zimkitha had joined Centeq Events cc in her capacity as an Events Management internship student from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2010, with the view to being employed once graduated. She has since completed her 3 year Events Management National Diploma course and continued her studies towards a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Tourism Management. In her capacity at Centeq, she has handled various conferences ensuring that all the delegate and customer care functions well managed. Over time she has excelled and been involved in the registration process of the prestigious Design Indaba conference which attracts over 1600 delegates annually; Zimkitha is very involved in the speaker registrations, group registrations as well as the onsite registration process.

Lara Van Zyl (lara@centeqevents.co.za)

After completing her studies at Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Lara spent five years working abroad for an International Association as their events, marketing & advertising co-ordinator. On her return to South Africa she worked for Thebe Conferences & Events in Cape Town as a Project Manager for two years before moving onto Paragon Conventions Africa, where she also worked as a Project Manager. Lara is contract employed by Centeq Events.

Emma Hutton (emma@allevents.co.za)

Emma is Centeq Events bookkeeper ensuring that all accounting principles and practices are taken care of. She has been with Centeq Events since 2009.

Sindiswa Monica Malase (monica@allevents.co.za)

Monica joined Centeq Events in her capacity as the domestic employee. She assists with the daily chores in the office. She has been with Centeq Events for over 2 years. We are very grateful for her caring and nurturing manner and her friendly smile and laughter brings much joy to the staff.

 

Exhibition Services (Exhibit SA (exhibit@allevents.co.za))

Centeq Events uses Exhibit SA as their in-house Exhibition company to consult with and manage their exhibition projects. Headed up by Shane who has been in the conferencing business since 2006.

Shane is also involved in onsite project management and has experience with large numbers having worked with the owners since 2006

Centeq Networking (roland@centeq.co.za)

Centeq Events servers and IT protocol is in the safe hands of its brother company Centeq Networking. Access controlled environment, high speed data lines, quick turnaround service and solutions driven personnel make for a stable network for delegates and clients of Centeq Events.
